    Obstacles in copyright protection

    Mr. Nurzhan Stamkulov, a partner of Synergy Partners Law Firm gave interview to Kapital newspaper concerning the obstacles in copyright protection in Kazakhstan

    Partners of Synergy Partners acted as honorary judges in student debates

    Mr. Nurzhan Stamkulov and Mr. Alzhan Stamkulov of Synergy Partners  to determine the winners of Dean's Cup Moot Court Competition on March 26, 2016. The event was held by KIMEP University School of Law and KIMEP Legal Clinic. 8 teams of two players participated in the competition. Participants had to act as a plaintiff and a defendant in various legal cases. The winner was determined by the panel of judges in the final game. Such debate tournaments give students first experience of mock trial and understand the specifics of litigation.

    Synergy Partners is a permanent partner of KIMEP University and participate in various activities of the University.

    Presentation in American Chamber of Commerce Tax Working Group

    American Chamber of Commerce in Kazakhstan organized workshop on tax matters on 19 February 2016. Mr. Nurzhan Stamkulov, a Partner of Synergy Partners Law Firm, made presentation and provided insight about VAT refund in Kazakhstan. He shared his experience concerning to VAT refund in Kazakhstan. The participants discussed VAT refund after Nurzhan’s presentation. Synergy Partners Law Firm is a member of American Chamber of Commerce. We participate in different AmCham events.

    Webinar on Mergers and Acquisitions

    Managing Partner of Synergy Partners Mr. Alzhan Stamkulov was a speaker of Bestprofi information system webinar "Mergers and Acquisitions". The webinar was held on 25 February 2016. It included such questions as Due diligence, Tax Planning, Transaction Agreements and Restructurings as well as Permits and Approvals.
