APRIL 26 CELEBRATION OF WORLD INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY DAY

Напомним, что The World organization of intellectual property officially was founded in 1967. Previously the United International Bureaux for the Protection of Intellectual Property had been established in 1893 to administer the Berne Convention for the Protection of Literary and Artistic Works and the Paris Convention for the Protection of Industrial Property.The World Intellectual Property Day is celebrated since April 26, 2000. Every year specific topics are dedicated to this special date. For instance, 2020 topic was about green future innovations. The main aim is attract attention to intellectual property issues.
Kazakhstan ratified the majority of international agreements close to intellectual property protection:
• Berne Convention for the Protection of Literary Artistic Works;
• Universal Copyright Convention;
• WIPO Copyright Treaty;
• Convention for the Protection of Producers of Phonograms Against Unauthorized Duplication of Their Phonograms;
• International Convention for the Protection of Performers, Producers of Phonograms and Broadcasting Organizations;
• Madrid Agreement Concerning the International Registration of Marks ;
• Protocol Relating to the Madrid Agreement Concerning the International Registration of Marks and other international treaties.
Unreservedly the World Community will protect intellectual property.
Today is difficult to imagine how business companies, science organizations, institutions, individuals and legal entities will operate without global intellectual property protection. The Global practice demonstrates that the average company’s brand value is much higher than its value of tangible assets.
